Many issues and contradictions with art as investment, woke hostility to traditional culture which now includes modernism.

A flurry of museum pieces is heading to auction, but will there be enough buyers for them?  “Museums may develop a taste for funds derived from sales of art.” Putting the toothpaste back in that tube, in 18 months’ time, may prove to be more difficult than it appears today.
